The Red Dress Run Grant Application is now open. Please follow the instructions below.

The New Orleans Hash House Harriers announce the availability of community grants using the proceeds from the 2019 NOH3 Red Dress Run.

The purpose of the grants is to support community efforts focused on the Greater New Orleans Area.

Before starting your application, we ask that you consider the implications of accepting a donation from the NOH3 Red Dress Run event. Please do some research on our group and the event itself by searching for HASHING or NEW ORLEANS HASH HOUSE HARRIERS or RED DRESS RUN. It is extremely important for you and your board to understand that the Red Dress Run is associated with drinking (beer to be specific), cross-dressing (everyone is in a red dress during this event, men and women alike) and overall good fun mixed with a little bawdiness. If any of these things are in conflict with the mission of your organization, or there could be adverse repercussions by accepting a donation from the New Orleans Hash House Harriers, we ask that you do not apply for funding.

Community groups or organizations with 501(c)3 status. You must include your federal tax id number in your application letter and upload a copy of your IRS determination letter. If you have a photograph of your organization members sporting red dresses, WITH BIB NUMBERS, please upload it with your 501(c)(3).

The New Orleans Hash House Harriers will not fund political parties, candidates or partisan political organizations, or fundraising events.

Funding requests not supported include:
  • Salaries
  • Travel expenses
  • Projects of national or statewide scope
  • Registration/entry fees for festivals/runs/events
Maximum grant amount is $4,000. Please be specific in estimating the amount of the request.

  • Applicant must be located and implementing programs within the Greater New Olreans area
  • All applications must be submitted by midnight September 30,2019.

If funded, grantees will be asked to send a representative to attend our volunteer appreciation event where checks are distributed.

If funded, grantees will be asked to provide a "thank you" letter to document the donation for NOH3 tax records by the end of 2019.

Having a representative attend the event to accept the grant and sending the "thank you" letter for NOH3 tax records are all required in order to be considered for future awards.
